Luke Richardson stands tall in Leeds.

The 2025 Europe’s Strongest Man (ESM) contest occurred in Leeds, England, on April 5, 2025. The single-day contest featured 12 athletes representing eight countries, including defending champion Luke Stoltman, battling through five events: Overhead Medley, Shield Carry, Carry & Drag, Deadlift, and Atlas Stones.

Luke Richardson of Great Britain scored the overall win with 51 of a possible 60 points. He was joined on the podium by runner-up Paddy Haynes and Mateusz Kieliszkowski, wearing bronze.

Overhead Medley

With 75 seconds each, strongmen lifted eight implements for two reps each: 90 kilogram dumbbell, 150-kilogram safe, 150-kilogram axle and a 150-kilogram log.

Each strongman carried a 200-kilogram shield for distance.
