Leading up to the 2025 CrossFit Games, Adidas has expanded its roster of signed athletes and refined its line of training footwear with the Dropset and Training Spezial.
- With eight athletes from their team competing in Albany, NY, including the recently signed Harry Lightfoot, and an exclusive version of the Dropset 3 launching this weekend, Adidas continues to invest in the competitive fitness scene.
Adidas Athletes at the 2025 CrossFit Games
Of the eight Adidas athletes competing for the Fittest on Earth title this weekend, two are long-time Games veterans, five are rookies, and one is taking on his sophomore season.
Haley Adams and Jonne Koski both began their CrossFit careers as teenagers, then went on to rack up a combined fourteen individual appearances (five for Adams and nine for Koski).
- Jennifer Muir, Mirjam von Rohr, Jorge Fernandez, Ty Jenkins, and Bill Leahy will compete in the CrossFit Games for the first time as individuals after years of grinding.
Adidas’ newest addition to their elite roster, Harry Lightfoot, prepares for his second year at this level, and with this new sponsorship supporting him, he’s more motivated than ever.
Lightfoot has always felt strong support throughout his athletic career—whether from his country, gym, followers, or, of course, his family and friends.
- “I hope that it’s always obvious how appreciative I really am of the people that get behind me. If I wasn’t already extremely grateful, to now have one of the biggest sporting brands in the world backing me… It’s honestly life-changing for me (to put it short),” Lightfoot told Morning Chalk Up.
Lightfoot considers being added to the roster an honor and values being there with veterans like Koski, who inspired him throughout his competitive fitness journey. As a two-time Games qualifier, he shared some words of wisdom with the rookies on the list.
- “You’re now on show with the best, you’ve gotta back yourself. There will be events that go right and wrong! But, we believe that you either win or learn; therefore, you gain something from any situation. As cliché as it sounds, it’s something that really helps me,” Lightfoot said.
Games Ready
The UK-based athlete traveled to the U.S. weeks ago to adjust to the time difference and settle in.
We thought Lightfoot would only bring the essentials on the long overseas trip, but we were wrong – he packed every pair of shoes he possibly could to be ready for the “unknown and unknowable.”
- “You’d think I pack light… but the only thing I missed off was the kitchen sink…Not just saying this, but I couldn’t not pack the new Spezials. Hopefully that says enough! But I also brought my favorite running shoes to date, the Adidas Adizero Evo SL. Adidas Adistar for my lower intensity runs. A couple of Dropset 3s and my Adipower weightlifters!”

The Games-Exclusive Dropset 3
Rooted in Adidas’ black-and-white DNA, the exclusive Dropset 3 colorway for the Games is built to stand out. Bright colors add energy and purpose, making sure it grabs attention on the competition floor.
An early release is set for tomorrow, August 1, and will run through Sunday, August 3.
- Only members can unlock the new Dropset 3 with adiClub points through the Adidas app. So superfans and sneakerheads might want to set their alarms.
In Albany, we will see the shoes in action on the three women and five men officially sponsored by the brand.
