Wesley Vissers Starts His Year off From Competition With an 11,000-Calorie Cheat Day

“The Dutch Oak” takes bulking to new heights after his competitive season ends.

Classic Physique bodybuilderΒ Wesley VissersΒ is ready to enter a new growth phase, which means more food and desserts.Β

In early April 2025, Vissers gave an inside look at hisΒ β€œfull day of cheating” in the US, taking his bulking planΒ to the extreme and racking up 11,294 calories in 24 hours.Β

How Vissers Got Here

Vissers suffered from food poisoning during his peak for theΒ 2025 Arnold Classic. This left him seven kilograms lighter and dropped him to fifth place. However, he made up ground at theΒ Detroit Pro, silver-medaling behindΒ Matt Greggo.Β

Afterward, his coachΒ Stefan KienzlΒ and his fiancΓ©e Marly Nooijen agreed Vissers needed aΒ year-long break, giving him the perfect opportunity to dial in his nutrition and recovery.

Breakfast & Brunch β€” A Feast of Sweets

Vissers weighed 115.7 kilograms in the morning and took glucose disposal agents to minimizeΒ fat gainΒ from all the sugar-packed treats. His first stop was Donutville, where he sampled the honey glaze, cream-filled, and Dutch crumb.

Later, for brunch, Vissers had cinnamon beignets, sliders on brioche buns, and French fries paired with two cups of coffee. Vissers and his film crew ordered a round of pancakes covered in cinnamon, apple crumbles, and banana Nutella to round out theΒ carb-richΒ meal.Β

Lunch at the Turkish Village RestaurantΒ

Dining in, Vissers and his fiancΓ©e ate two servings of balloonΒ bread, a puffy hollow flatbread. They dipped it in tahini, hummus, and baba ganoush.

Short onΒ daily protein, Vissers enjoyed deboned chicken, grilled vegetables, and golden rice to hit hisΒ macros, bringing his total calories closer to 11,000.Β

Dinner & Dessert at the Dairy QueenΒ

This was Vissers’ first time tryingΒ fast foodΒ in America besidesΒ McDonald’sΒ and In-N-Out Burger. He ate a cheeseburger and washed it with an Oreo Brownie Fudge Blizzard. He remained hungry after finishing this course, nodding to why these foods aren’t the best option forΒ fat lossΒ or improvedΒ body composition. (1)

It’s so easy to overeat on fast food. It’s cheap and convenient but has a lot of calories.

Vissers’ First Krispy Kreme DonutΒ

After indulging, Vissers was eight kilograms heavier in the evening. This weight gain was likely due to food volume and water retention. The following day, after hisΒ fasted workout, he treated himself to a Krispy Kreme donut.Β

Nothing beats the regular glazed version.

Cheat mealsΒ are a part of Vissers’ nutrition plan, but they don’t detract from his goals. He’ll enter β€œfull recovery mode” moving forward, meaning sticking with aΒ balanced dietΒ of golden rice, fruit, vegetables, and salmon.Β
