Valentin Akimov wins big in Russia!

The second Moscow Sports Night of 2025 occurred in Moscow, Russia, on Aug. 16, 2025. The contest featured seven of the country’s strongest athletes compete in five events: Max Axle Press, Front Hold, Max Deadlift, Overhead Medley, and Atlas Stones.

Valentin Akimov stood atop the podium, having scored 31 of a possible 36 points. The 36-year-old bested fellow countryman and runner-up, David Shamey, by 3.5 points.
